From what i understand, because sky sports has the right for the league 1 Playoffs in the UK.

And Foxsports is from the same company....Foxsports also has the rights to show it...

We need to hassle them to pieces...

Just sent this email off to foxsports

To whom this may concern
It is to my understand that Fox sports have the rights to show the league one play offs, but choose not to or have some sort of conflicting schedule, I understand this but want to plead my case for why I believe you must show the League one Play-off next Monday the 26th of May. I am a Foxtel subscriber and have been for many years, I get Foxtel basically for the sport and I believe that that your coverage of the English Premier league and Coke – Cola Championship is second to none. I‘m also a massive Leeds United fan and Leeds will be contesting in the League One playoff, Leeds are still one of the biggest teams in English soccer, so if the game where to be shown I’m positive that you would have a big Australia viewing audience not just from that many of Leeds fans that are down under and believe me there are a few of them, you will also get soccer lovers in general watching, Why you may ask the answer is simple, as much as I want Leeds to go up and like many Leeds fans believe we will, there are also they many other supporters form the major clubs in England that would watch the game hoping for Leeds to lose, you either love them or hate them. So all in all I think by showing the League one Playoff it would be a win, win for Foxtel because not only would you be keeping your many Leeds subscribers happy but you will have a massive Viewing audience, dare I say bigger then the championship play off in which is shown on Fox sports. Just want to firstly thank you for your time in reading this email and hope that in some small way this can change whoever’s mind it is that needs to be changed.
Kindest Regards
Matthew Saliba

Good work lads.

We're having a function no matter what. It's our aim to stream the match on a plasma live via the internet. Obviously won't be quite as good quality but will still be good.

If it gets picked up by Fox or Setanta though, it'd be much easier.

Wasn't aware of this. Can you please follow this up with Ivo? Ask how complicated it would be to hook up the computer to his plasma or screen. Or whether it has been done before?

so how do we go about connecting a computer to a plasma
what sort of wires
we need to have a practice run at dickens if we think it can happen
wouldn't want to find out we can't on the night
it would be best to try when the place is empty

my guess is its never been done there before because the laptop is only new

Also, how fast is the broadband connection there a 256k or 512k adsl won't cut the mustard i imagine. What about download limits.. streaming will download a lot, would hate for it to cut out 20 mins into the match because we've gone over the limit.

Last night after I watched the cup @ Celtic Club, me and Rev went to Dickens to check it all out.

Ryan had already mentioned it to Ivo (thanks for that mate) and when I got there we had a quick chat and he said that it will be fine to use his connection and tv's.

He got his laptop out and I installed Winamp plus the other 3 settings you need to get it to work. Stockport v Wycombe was on at the time and was playing fine on his laptop. Quality was fantastic with no buffering.

There is a guy who is going to come into Dickens throughout the week who knows how to connect it all up. I'm going to head down at some stage to double check all is ok.

Lets be honest though, even though I'm confident that all will work out fine, if something happens on Sunday night which is out of our hands, every Leeds fan there will be no worse off than if they were at home in front of the computer. Better off being in a room full of Leeds fans singing imo.

I will double check the usage when I head down. Should be fine though.

If the connection fails for some reason Jimmy can give us text commentary via sms which the gaffer can then read out in his loudest voice.

To be honest
I sorta hope its not shown on Fox
That will bring all Leeds fans to the dickens....which will be the only place showing it

Really, its the only way we are 100% sure of seeing the game??

Streaming worked the other night with a wycombe game.. dont think nearly as many people were watching that game that will be trying to this one!
