Went to this match yesterday and although we won we were poor. Hardly threatened at all from open play and the two goals game from set pieces - the only time we were a threat. Was very disappointed with the lack of technique of the Australian players - who are all either regular players in the A-league or playing in Europe.

Christian Sarkies has got to be one of the most overrated players in the game. The commentators on Fox rave about him but I've yet to see him have a decent game.

On a related note the logistics (can't think of another word) were poor. There were long queues to get in so I missed the first 10 mins of the game despite turning up with 20 minutes to go before the kick-off. Can't see why they couldn't delay the kick-off by 15 mins or so given the queues.

Of course the fact that some people are moronic doesn't help. The scan their tickets in the reader and then stand there as if they expect the barrier to open up like the parting of the Red Sea. This is despite the fact that the staff at the gate are telling them - and a good many people before them go ..walk..enter.

Yeah shattered we lost Ado. He's quality.

Looked like an Iraq home game Harry. What was the crowd breakdown? Or was it more 50/50?

One side of the ground had a lot of Iraqi fans and they were noisier and more active as tends to be the case, but I'd still say there were more Australian fans there.

I went to gosford for the central coast v newscastle game and can tell you that it was exactly the same. Always gonna be a problem when you've only got 1 gate. We waited for like 20 minutes and it was hard to work out where the line was heading, I guess the locals get used to it.
Lesson learned is never buy your ticket at the gate in gosford
