Hey lads,

As the LUSCV have grown in stature and members over the last few months, I think its about time we challenged another supporter group to a football match. Despite us beating the OzSpurs 5-4 last time and having an awesome day, only four paid up members played after 15 had told me they would come down. Some reaons were fair, others frustrating so I need a COMMITMENT from potential players. I'm not going to propose the match untill we have at least 16 members who are interested, so that we actually have a squad that represents our club. Now the game will happen on a weekend, probably a sunday as alot of us have club football commitments on saturday. If you have the majority of your sundays free within the next two months, then you will be free to play.

Let me know here if you are interested, once the list of 16 is compiled I will talk to either the OzSpurs, Cardiff or Rangers about a game. If you have any suggestions on how to run the day, potential teams etc then post here.

Yeah glad its not Saturdays because of cricket, definitely in for this, i also have been in touch with gar (blue dragon) about a possible supporters club tournament but that has been put on hold til 08. put me down and eddie as well liam.

yeh sunday is good for me, local league plays on saturday... any supporters club tourny would be great... im in for sure

Will be there. Was disappointed I couldn't make it last time so I won't be missing this one.

will do my best to come along and video , cut oranges etc.. whatever if need be, have a $90 a week chiropractor habit at the moment on top of the other things. i hope to see many more members playing this time, whilst that match against spurs was good it was a bit of a downer to see not so many of us out there, liams mates did a great job in any case. now is the time to make amends.

Due to the drought, ground availability for friendly matches has become very scarce. The game will have to be postponed till the same time as the match last year, when hopefully we would've had some more rain.

I'll keep this thread going and refresh it once it becomes clear when we can start organising again.
