We need to get on top of whether these will be televised or not now so we can work out our plans.
Tonight I've emailed Sky, Foxtel, Garry Green and Setanta Sports seeking clarification of who has the rights to show games in Australia.
Setanta Sports have the rights in the USA which is surprising considering Sky are broadcasting it in the UK. They've obviously hand balled it onto them for the States.
The Setanta Australia site hasn't listed it on their website yet which isn't a good sign. Hopefully they have just been slack with their tv schedule.
Anyhoo, I'll keep you all updated with the responses I get. |

I am definitely putting my nerdiness aside should these matches end up being played shown somewhere. Good work Dave! |

Ryan, could you please check with Ivo to see if he has it listed in any of his guides? Also, can you ask him if he can access 'Sky Sports' or 'Setanta North America' channels? I'm predicting it's a no but can you check in the next day or so anyway? Cheers. |

As advised last season, our contract with the Football League only covers playoff matches for the Coca-Cola Championship.
Unfortunately, we will not be broadcasting any League One or Two games.
Cheers |

I went to see Ivo at lunch today but he wasn't in yet. I was too early as he gets in after 2pm. Will go back tomorrow arvo. |

Round and round in circles we go...
That's the complete opposite to what Garry Green said. Although while Fox do have the rights to League 1, perhaps they don't have the rights to the play-offs.
Which means nobody does!
That was our last hope so unless Ivo manages to get it somehow (which he wasn't too confident about today) then looks like we'll have to watch it via the internet. |

Either Gary Green is uninformed, or he is deliberately misleading us, either way he's an ordinary bloke. Sounds like a 'cyberkop' may be in order. |

Doesn't look good
Does anyone have Gay Green's number? I'll give him a call tomorrow and do my best at finding out
a - who has the fucking rights
b - how do we watch it
reckon our best bet is a laptop, hook that up to a big screen somewhere (dickens or otherwise).
like sammy, im not sure its really worth doing for the semis as they are awkward times but if we make the final we've gotta do something |

Fair points. Semi's ain't gonna happen anyway. If we find ourselves in the same predicament should we make the final, we could always have a meet up at someones house and watch the game.
Regarding streaming, Sky Broadband can only be viewed if you live in the UK and ditto with Setanta North America Broadband.
I'm going to see if I can find a site where you pay a small fee to watch the streaming. Myp2p is good but I really don't wanna have to put up with buffering while watching such a crucial match. |

this was just posted on BF
no idea what other forum he refers to
Saw the information below on another forum, it seems Setanta presumed fox sports had the rights. So if enough support is present they will telecast it in Australia as they are doing so in North America.
Re:League 1 Playoffs on TV
Calling all Leeds & Carlisle fans in Oz !!!
Contact Setanta - they are showing the playoff games in North America but thought that Fox sports had the rights for Oz. I spoke to Fox Sports and they confirmed they do not have the playoff rights for League 1 (only championship & permier lge games).
I've advised Setanta and if more people also ask for it, it may just happen.
