LOL. MVFC and Telstra Dome stoop to a new low, all in the name of cutting another corner.

Fuck it.

I reckon just watch the game at the colonial. No muzzas, no cops, just our mates.

Absolutely shattered, have loved my time in then South End this year and the lads in it. No idea what I will do this game, would love to sing but if it involves being told what to do on a megaphone then count me out. Let's just go wild pre match.

Well there you have it, these little cunts have fucked us all up the date now. Don't know what to do next season buy a gold reserved, go nuts pre-match at the pub and actually get a decent view of the game? Or don't buy a season ticket at all? I'm mighty pissed off but the club has to be seen to doing something.

Rubbish decision and complete over-reaction.

I fully support segregating the away fans and barricading the concourse off so they have their own bar/toilets etc. But giving them the whole end is an absolute joke!

The fact us as members and supporters have been screwed over because of a minority of absolute wanks, is disgraceful.

I know it's a Telstra Dome decision but it shits me that the club goes along with anything they decide like a fucking sheep! I realise they have a contract with TD but they also have members and fans to look out for too!

I can see 2 options for us. Either we go and join the other active supporters up on Level 3 and in doing so, refuse to go to Level 1 North End as is clearly part of Telstra Dome's plans. Obviously not standing right with the North Terrace but to their side so we can still continue to do our own thing and occasionally join in some of their chants.

Otherwise we'll have to find a spot on Level 1 which will most likely be infested with a lot of the little shits who got us in this mess anyway!

I'm happy to do what the majority wants to do although I think I favor Level 3 for this week.

well pissed off with the decision
i rang the club today when i heard..immediatley asked to speak to someone about. Left my number, Geoff Miles rang me around 9 tonight.
Was trying to tell me it was a joint decision, i put forward everything i saw from the sydney game, he basically (without saying it) called me a liar.
I asked him why no charges or action has been taken since the club watched the so called "security" footage, he said they have been handled behind the scenes. Again, utter rubbish considering i know around 80% of those who got sprayed and none have had any contact from the football club.
I asked him about the alternate arrangement, that being the corner next to the gold section, he said we could sit there but would be instructed to sit down.
I pointed out that the south end had quite a following and was a very small but effective community that had formed. He "regretted" the implications for (and i quote) "very few" that occupy the south end.
That comment almost made my blood boil.
My final question was, if it was that easy to barracade up everything for away fans, why couldnt something similar be done on level 3 for those that want to stand. He went on to spout about logistics and safety. So i posed to him, whats stopping me from sueing the Telstra Dome when i tripped over a step on level 3 at the AFL this year? He said it wasnt a worthy comparison. I added that provided there is no jumping there shouldnt be issue? he pretty much laughed that off, so i said thanks anyway and hung up
I thought about not posting, but then decided to post on here, instead of the MV forum, so try to keep this here, just thought id add just how much this club is fucking us over

Come join your brothers on Level Three boys.

We're all united as one in hating the cunts and I have a feeling Saturday could be something very special - 2-3,000 active supporters will sound magnificent under Level 3.

A terrible decision but I can't say I'm surprised by this. The media has to cop a fair portion of the blame too, that absolute bullshit exaggeration story on "riots" has made this happen. Still, the club and TD are wankers. I understand your position as South Enders and how it's a sort of "on the spot" sort of thing, ie chants are spontaneous but respect the way things are done up on Level 3. If EMBWA starts up, I can guess the response Cool

Possibly just let that all be this week, join in with Tunna etc and then make a decision when you've had a bit of time to mull over it...the only thing that could be worse than the current situation is if we have a disunited home end - which like Sydney - when we had four groups singing different songs, was shit.

COME ON MELBOURNE ALE
NO SURRENDER TODAY
AND NOTHING WILL STAND IN OUR WAY

Arguement time

1 I fully disagree with TD have done wrt to South End. Remember this point

2. Everything else the club has done at TD im pretty much 99% in agreeance with

Feel free to list the "things" you think TD and MVFC have done to make this season so shit......

List them here

Also what has exactly changed between Season 2 and Saeson 3 wrt to the way supporters have been treated? And see if you can guess why??

Following on str8 away with a sep post let me list a few things that have fucked it up for everyone

- too many "hangers on" trying to be "well'ard"
- too many muzza's
- no less than 10 flares ripped during the grandfinal under the BWB banner
- stupid scuffles whenever Adelaide or Sydney come to visit
- the BWB / NE "My dicks bigger than your dick" seperation
- silent protests instead of supporting the team
- movement of wannabees down to South End
- inability of some sets of fans to follow some pretty simple rules wrt standing

Just so we are clear, here is what the club has got out of TD for the fans (this all seems to get lost in the rhetoric)
- Megaphone (well'ards then decide not to use it)
- Drums (again not being used)
- Flags and banners (TD now have the largest acceptable limits)
- Standing is now allowed in level 1 (untill this week at both ends)
- recognition of a Home End

I fail to see where the club has let anyone down (prior to the South End closure) in any way shape or form

Victorians (us what live here) dont like flares at games, are definitely not interested in taking the tribalism to trashing public property or having "rucks" with opposition fans - ever noticed at an AFL game I as a Richmond fans can sit next to my Collingwood mate and still have a laugh and a beer without punching on???

We also dont want our final chance of decent football on a week to week basis fucked up by hormonally challenged fuckwits trying to be cooler than the next muppet

Respect to Tunna and a few others for what they have done, but I honestly believe its being hi-jacked by folk that want to enforce their way of things onto the vast majority of the rest of us who are about following the team, having a beer and a laugh with our mates. Its not about going to war or trying kill someone (Ive done that for a living and its not much fun). Its about the your mates and the team - all this posturing is for wankers

Phew - And finally read point 1 in the thread above. I am 100% against the closure of the South End - this needs a re-think. But more importantly the attitude of our "active" fans needs to be thought through and quickly as THEY are the ones, in general, fucking this up for everyone
