Forum legends kenner85, Dave and myself ventured out to Caufield to the races on Saturday and had a pretty good day for the Caulfield Cup...one thing that did cross our mind whilst losing bets and admiring the talent was how class it would have been to have a big group of Leeds lads there...

Get smashed, bet and sing Leeds songs at the racecourse > pretty much all things in life.

So yeah, I'm not fussed as to which day we'd all go (usually the smaller ones are the better) but if people can post interest and a day they want to go to then we'll try and get things cracking. Personally, I'm going to be at quite a few of them this year so yeah lets try and get something happening...

Cox Plate 2007 this Saturday boys.

$30 entry for concession ($15 for me with a paying adult!) so bit cheaper than Caulfield. First race at 11ish ending up about 5.30 again.

Can also get a table (if we want) for four of eight...$60 each. It's near a bar apparently too so might be worth it for shorter queues/TAB etc but i'm good whatever way.

Let's also get some decent racing tips during the week so we can win some money!

Im definately going to the family day one, and I think I can only budget for one because Im financially a bit tight at the moment because of away trips.

I did ask Dave about this during the week but was lucky enough to get VIP tickets through SEN to the Friday Night Racing at Moonee Valley last night.

Had a 3 course meal and beer, wine and soft drink provided all night - we were late and missed dinner - but the members area was so fucking class. TAB's absolutely everywhere, no beer queues at all, a betting ring and couches everywhere. Then seats outside on the winning post...truly fucking awesome.

I'm gonna have a look at becoming a member at a racing club - most likely Moonee Valley cause they have 32 meets a year cause it's literally awesome in there. I'll see if I can wrangle a couple more for the next Friday night meet - lots better than a Saturday simply because there's no queues for anything.

Good luck to everyone on Derby Day too, anyone who got on Sirmione in the MacKinnon Stakes would be wrapped! $88 fucking!
