Can they make it two in a row?
SKY SPORTS

It's the question on everybody's lips but can Leeds United Victoria make it two wins in a row? Off field, the club are in turmoil. Protests against club chairman Ryan continue to gain legs whilst a recent points deduction implemented by staff at Box Hill Indoor Sports Centre has united the fans in "sticking two fingers up at the football league".

Manager Peter Cass has a ghost-like presence, sometimes he is there - sometimes he is not - but the football side he produced on Sunday was one akin to the Barcelona of today. Full credit goes to Cass who managed to wrangle a last-minute loan deal on deadline day which saw dynamic pocket-rocket Sam Uhe join the club on a provisional one-month deal from Peaking FC. Uhe's performance on Sunday evening wowed spectators and the queues to get Uhe on the back of the home kit were alarmingly large at the official club store - also known as Dave's car boot -on Monday morning.

First-team skipper Chris Kenner has shown promising signs over the summer that the move to give him the armband was a positive one with Kenner's left-foot bullets a highlight of Sunday's 10-7 friendly triumph. However, off the field, Kenner can't get out of the headlines. With a habit for fast cars, heavily cut drugs and women the Mornington lad was last seen on Monday morning being arrested by police. He was without a shirt and a tattoo emblazoned on his stomach which said 'Such is Life'.

In other team news this week, Liam Carolan and James Willoughby are in the dog house with manager Cass after missing a compulsory Monday morning breakfast. The fearsome duo both made the team bus but have been sanctioned by chairman Ryan, with Willoughby releasing his anger in a petulant spray with threats to flee the club and find a home in Europe directed at Cass.

Keeper Dave McCabe has been unable to train this week, still resting his vocal chords after a particularly loud 'Super Leeds United' chant in a pub in Sydney two weeks ago. However it is hoped he will be right to play on Wednesday on what is the club's final friendly before the season proper which commences next Sunday.

Active supporters are reminded that they should occupy Level 3 of the Box Hill Indoor Sports Centre. Standards must not measure over 1.5m and flares will be tolerated.
