Im moving over to Rockingham Nr Perth early next year from Morley in Leeds. I am an ST Holder and will miss my Saturdays at Elland Road like mad when I come over. Are there any Perth based whites on here, and is there any LUFC social scene/members club in Perth. I would like to become involved if so, Ta fella's!
Regards

This is the Perth email off the LUSC website. I've tried emailing them before and it has bounced back. Still give it a crack though.

Thanks Matey, If not I would be happy to put the work in to get one off the ground if interest in WA is popular enough. However I have a few issues with SC but hats off to you guys for flying the flag out there!Meanwhile if there is anything you need give me a shout whilst I am only 1 mile from Elland Road! |

The main football club over there is Perth Glory - and a whole lot of them are expats - If you get stuck, drop me a line and I'll get you in touch with the lad tht runs them lot - He'll know of any Leeds fans out and about in Perth
Oh and just so your aware - your going to medium sized city with a definite country town mentality - Weekends are for sleeping and church they reckon
Try to imagine Hull, only a whole heap prettier but a whole heap sleepier
Go figure |

Yeah Ive been to Rockingham before mate, and Perth - loved it!!. Wife is dead set on it too. Just hoping there are plenty of Haulage companies/vehicle hire and leasing companies there as there are in Brisbane, Gonna start writing to these companies next month. Bit daunting but Im good at my job so fingers crossed!
Thanks for the offer re Perth Glory, I need to keep my 5 year old boy interested, he is Leeds mad and need to keep him that way and involved in football somehow! - Thank You mate. SOME GOOD LADS ON HERE. |

Welcome aboard Morley boy
Good to get another expat involved! Something we are lacking but slowly gaining thru Gaffer, Ian, Adelaide lads and yourself.
Boys - a big issue really...Liam raised the idea about a year ago and due to the bad blood with the old LUA it got knocked back...I really think we should look into forming an Australian fan club. Definitely increase membership & members etc, but unite us together more...we already have Sydney & Perth lads on board .... something to discuss anyway
Post away with your lads
Again morleyboy, welcome and look fwd to having a chat at some stage. On and fucking on! |

Morley - My old man and mum brought me over here when I was 10 - right at the peak of Leeds history in the early 70's (all you kids on here....I could be your father - bear that in mind!!)
Apart from 3 things, and thats all honest, you will wonder why you never came here earlier. Thise things are:
1. Leeds games - d'uh
2. Proper Fish n Chips with scraps/bits - they have no idea here
3. Beer and Pubs - Now if your a lager drinker your ok here, but of your a real man and enjoy real beer, it may be a shock. Also the pubs arent the small little boozers found in country/city UK. They geranlly, outside the inner-cities, great big barns with as much atmosphere as Old Trafford during a Carling Cup game
Otherwise, if you can handle missing the family - you'll be sweet
