In 2008/09 a number of our members have singled there intent to travel to the United Kingdom, for various reasons, I think this could be a prime opportunity for us members to be as one in Leeds instead of watching it at 2am @ the dickens, however fun that is, this will be a trip of a lifetime. A few of us have been looking into this for a couple of weeks now and believe it could work. Ok we don’t have fixtures, dates ect ect at this time, but all in due course. I’m putting this idea forward early due to the fact that a) its not cheap, don’t fool yourselves, this isn’t a last minute decision for most people and you will need time to save b) we want input over the next two years from people that can help us, with links in UK and other resources to make the trip run smoothly c) help everyone thinking of going with tickets, transport ect. So any help would be great, put forward anything of help to this adventure. We will by this time have the two flags we are thinking of producing… pics are up in the other thread, while will also be producing special Leeds Vic polo’s for the touring party.
2008/09 I will be traveling North and South America then heading to the UK to watch Leeds.
Dave if not traveling with me is going to be taking several months off to travel and follow football around the world
James will be heading to the UK for work and to follow Leeds and get to a couple of Ashes games in the summer months
Eddie is doing similar to James with a couple of other mates? Correct me if wrong
Sammy I remember you saying you were keen to travel, just didn’t know if you would go over for club football or EURO CUP in Switzerland?
Ex, you’re heading back for good? Or was that tongue in check?
So with plenty of time, speak to family and friends, work out if this is possible for YOU! It will be a trip you never forget…
I will let the Leeds Adelaide & Perth Branches know of what we are doing…

Yeah, good post Kenner. It's been something we've been thinking about for a while. When you think about, only two and a bit years away, so not that far. Although when I think I'll be finished school by then, maybe it is a long way away anyway...
Myself, Eddie, Storai and QPR plan to cover all of UK for about six-eight months in 09, if it can happen. I'll need a job and about 6-8K before I leave I've worked out. It's been my lifelong dream to follow Leeds week in week out for a sustained period of time so here's hoping...
If the above happens myself and eddie will be up for leeds game, others will be doing seperate thing, would be great though, luv on tour, lets make it work lads...
WERE ALL GOING ON A ..... EUROPEAN TOUR, A EUROPEAN TOUR, A EUROPEAN TOUR, WERE ALL GOINGGGGG ON A EUROPEAN TOUR, TO SEE THE MIGHTY WHITESSSS! |

Very interesting proposal.
How much money do you think I'll need to save? How long would you be thinking of going for?
I reckon it would be well worth saving up for... |

If I do go back to UK on a perm basis I will gladdly act as your admin support that side and join you all if it comes off.
If I stay here then I maybe able to make it for about 4-6 weeks only. I may or may not be with my family. I will know by Xmas this year what my family plans are. I will advise accordingly.
Just imagine we could be back in the premiership by then or we could be playing in the Conference.
great idea though guys. |

leeds now the uk's 'second financial city' so if you're a beancounter etc. should be work there. need to be filthy rich to have half a life in london, could probably do the aussie backpacker working in a pub thing for a year there but to live there on a permanent basis |

I dont really know what is going on with me. I defiantly want to go to the World cup in 2010. My family are all travelling to Holland and other places in 2009. My final school mark will play a large part in my plans. Uni etc. Plus my dad has offered financial support for a good mark.
But yea whatever happens happens. I will defiantly be in the UK some time in 2009 (i plan to anyway ) |
