Hey lads,
Just had an idea...
Instead of organising an indoor team which can be very expensive and frustrating, why not start our own saturday league tournament against other supporter clubs and victory/football supporters.
This is what I had in mind:
- 7 players from each team on field at same time
- Every saturday during winter: playing times flexible...Will go into more detail later.
- Each home team either book out a hockey court and use it like in the victory tournament, or just a local park (wouldnt need to book.)
- Halves would go for 30 mins, unlimited substitutes during stoppages.
- 8 team league, play each other once/twice home/away then have a finals series.
- Each team have a start up cost, then maybe 5 bucks per player per match (court hire, referee...etc)
REMEMBER you'd have to be free for around the next 10/20 saturdays so it would be a commitment. Hopefully we can get a Leeds Vic team happening though.
This is just an idea but if it gains enough momentum here then I'll post it on all the Supporter Club's forums then eventually the victory forum.
If your interested post away...

Good idea Liam. Sounds like tough work getting going but if it gets up, I'm all for it, as long as we get a good kickoff time like 3pm. |

To far out for me to drive three times a week, costing me too much in petrol. I'd prefer just to kick a ball around with mates. |
