Anybody else taking part in this?

I've found myself running a lot over the past 6 months and even ran from my house in Greensborough to the CBD yesterday afternoon!

I registered with Run Melbourne last night for the 5km run. $50 but it's obviously for Charity. I think Liam is also doing the same as is his mate Mark (Leeds lad) who a few of you have met.

Should be a good morning (9:20am start) and we'll most likely be wearing Leeds kits as well! Smile

It'd be awesome apart from the fact I'd probably die from exhaustion!

Good luck tho, I suggest knee high socks and sock tags

Shitty weather this morning but was still great. Was just me and Mark running and we donned the Leeds yellow and blue away kits!

We took part in the 5km run which was a pretty comfortable run. There were hundreds of people and plenty of talent on display too! Wink

But of course, you can't go anywhere without running into other Leeds fans which always makes my day.

We were running at one stage and all of a sudden this bloke runs up beside us and says, "C'mon United! Apparently the Donny fans are just up there lads, lets speed up to get them!". lol.

Then we hit about the 3.5km mark and as we were heading past one of the officials directing the runners, he looked at us and did the, "LEEDS LEEDS LEEDS" chant! Was class. Smile

After all that was over, the 10:30am pints went down very nicely. We got a couple of photos with the Leeds gear so hopefully they either make The Age or the website at least!

Top effort Dave, even looked you up in the paper today. 30 mins is a very respectable effort. Got me thinking, next time they have one of these on we should get ourselves organised and have a team in. If other groups (yids, trojan etc.) were interested we could even see who could raise the most cash for whatever charity. Even if they weren't, I'm sure it would be a ripping time if we had five or more of us running the 5k in leeds kits.

Oh yeh I forgot to get the paper. 30mins was ok. I reckon I could break 25mins pretty comfortably.

I had a similar thought about getting a team next time. Good idea mate.
