For all transfer talk and movement over the upcoming summer break:
Andy Robinson Joins Leeds (interesting timing just before the playoff final)
United won the race to sign the Swansea City midfielder after he shunned a new contract at The Liberty Stadium.

Do not want to post any rumours as I don't want to jinx us.

These rumours are very premature. Im sure we will see what division we are in before we buy any new players.
If we plan to be in the Champions League in 2 seasons, we need to start planning now!!! |

Very strange they announced it this week. Surely could have been delayed until after Sunday no?
Also, forgot to mention, Rui has signed a new 2 year contract.

Tribal Football reckon Newcastle United are eyeing off Becks. Surely not after his last months performance???
Though Tribal is complete bollocks. |

If they offer a decent amount, snap their fingers off imo. |

Newcastle aren't exactly the shrewdest operators in the transfer market... so wouldn't surprise me though as you say Tribal is 95% bs. |

Swansea manager RE: Andy Robinson
Speaking in the Western Mail, Flynn said “The move will seem like a mistake to a lot of people now
“But, in all honesty, only Andy knows whether it is true or not. It might look like Andy has made the wrong decision but you never know what will happen. People said the same when Lee Trundle left Wrexham for Swansea but look how that worked out.”
He continued: “Leeds will get promoted next year anyway. You can see them being clear by Christmas.
“Andy is a good player and he has gone to a fantastic club. He made the decision knowing Leeds might stay in League One so he is obviously confident they will get him where he wants to be sooner or later.
“He will play Championship football in the end. He has got quality written all over him and it won’t be long.
“Fans don’t want to lose good players so you can see where they are coming from,” he said. “But you have to remember what Andy did for the club.
“Swansea didn’t pay a penny for him and got five years of fantastic service in return. In the years to come I’m sure fans will just remember what he did for the club and focus on that instead.”
God I hope the players don't read that!
I'm a bit inclined to say we should keep Becks at all costs just for fear off what happened last time we lost in the Playoffs, sold off Rob Hulse and lacked goals & got relegated.
Becks was the difference in a lot of narrow wins this year, and if we can sign a good 2nd striker, I think we definately need him. |

Tottenham are considering adding yet more young talent to their already impressive group of 'wonder kids' with a bid for Leeds United Midfielder Jonathan Howson.
Apparently Gus Poyet is a big fan of the jewel in Leeds United's crown, who was 20 last week (21st)and is rated very highly as a prospect who will become a top player within the next couple of seasons.
I will be fuckin sick if that happens, won't these pricks learn how to produce their own players!
If this happens I will personally go down to the Dickens and leg drop Beazles through a table [/i] |
