I'm heading into Dickens at 6:30am tomorrow morning to do a trial run just after the UCL Final finishes.
Hi Dave,
How did the dry run go last night? All good?
Well I got to Dickens just after 6am yesterday ready to test it after the UCL ended. Unfortunately it went to extra time (which I knew would happen), then penalties and then the trophy celebration. By the time I got a chance to test it, I had to go to work!
Waste of time and to make it worse I had to watch all the scummers going nuts. Such a different bunch to our lads.
I have to go in Saturday night and try it instead. Will head in briefly for the Hull game.
The fact that Foxtel are showing a replay 3 hours later is another good back-up. |

So let me get this right...
This weekend I have
- Friday night drinks - easy enough
- Sat morning - help out Under 9's home game - still easy, weather permitting
- Sat arvo, drop kids off and head off to city for 10th wedding anniversary - starts off great, but then no football fix for 12 hrs kicks in, start to get jittery
- Sun morning, no football, maybe shag missues - only 50% good even if Im lucky
- Sun arvo - shopping - getting grim - might sneak off to pub
- Sun evening - reclaim kids and watch head ache increase astronomically
- Sun evening pre-transport drinks - feeling good again
- Sun evening transport - scarf-wavingly good feeling
- @ dickens watch selected Leeds highlights - more drinks more buzz more singing
- @ Dickens watch Leeds at Womblelee - drinks sing sing sing drink
- Game over Leeds wiin lets go fucking mental
- Replay of Fox at 3pm - more singing drinking and odd bout of deja vu
- 5am - Leeds win again!!!!!! Ivo has shut bar, drinking the dregs now, throat a bit sore, eyes starting to bleed
- 6am - find somehwere with COFFEE - ignore strange looks as we sing along to the coffee shop
- 7am - gotta go to work??????!!!!!!! Oh God everything hurts |

just to confirm if any adelaide whites are on this forum, we will be showing the game upstairs at the Stag Hotel in the city.
And how is Fox Sports...bombarded by emails and calls from Leeds fans and managing to secure rights to show the game.
It's delayed until 3am but will be shown live if it rains in the cricket or tennis.
Fan power does work.
we're not famous anymore! |

I have a plan to sleep through Sunday. Starting work at 7am on Monday has something to do with this. Regardless of the result it is extremely unlikely that I shall stick around for the replay.
I never foresaw me ditching my friend (who's been in London for the past year and I haven't seen her since she left) and her Eurovision party. Leeds makes me a horrible person at times! |

Exactly what she just said...
Although for some reason if we get a favourable result I dont really foresee me going into work on monday... |

Getting to Dickens about 9 after sleeping from 1 (after Trojan) till 8...Go on the ratio of a pint every hour...no...45 minutes...then what ever happens after the game happens I guess...
Cant wait...
Can I suggest, between 11.30pm to 12.00am we dont have anything on TV so that we can build a bit of prematch atmosphere as if we were standing in the kop? |
