have just received an email from Fox, reiterating they don't have the rights to show L1 or League 2 play-offs.
I guess we are just too much of an exceptional circumstance! |

Question: If Setanta and Fox aren't broadcasting the match, then what mechanism is the Charles Dickens getting the telecast from?
Only I have this epiphany that I roll up to Charles Dickens Pub only to find out that they don't have any broadcast of the match.

Welcome to the forum Cloggie. If you check our website, all the info is on there. Basically we have a live Sky Sports stream via the internet.

Early Heads-up and BY NO MEANS 100% OFFICIAL but LUSC Adelaide has found a venue that has the technology to host an Adelaide exclusive screening of thre Play-Off Final.
Hopefully tomrrow we will be able to do the tests we need to lock it in and then we will spread the word. |

I watched the last match via P2P and the quality was average at best. Out of interest, what is the quality of the Internet streaming at the Charles Dickens? Is better than I saw via P2P?

Yeh we don't use p2p, it's pretty dodgy. Our link is hosted by a dedicated server so should be fine. If not, I have a back-up stream of Sky Sports which we can use.
I'm heading into Dickens at 6:30am tomorrow morning to do a trial run just after the UCL Final finishes. |

I feel like a bit of a cheat, just jumping in at the end when youve all gone to the hard work of getting this match viewing set up. In my defence, I havent been in Aus very long.
Hope you dont mind a new member coming down to the pub.
