All chatter to do with the game on sunday night in this thread plz. No unofficial threads otherwise I'll tell the mods.
Biggish game for us this sunday night.
Sheehan will be available once again after serving his suspension, however I doubt Gary Mac will change the side after last fridays heroics...
COME ON LEEDS. |

Can we nominate James! Dave? how is it done! The lad has made a great effort and short of some fan from NZ or Samoa, He should win.

I'm betting once Jimmy sees this thread he'll be onto it! It's a great effort to get there by him. |

Sheehan would be handy to have back, but in place of who?
Can't possibly drop Bradley and can't fault any midfielder so IMO it should be an unchanged team.
Am really worried about this game, Donny are a very good team and I fear the worst |

Likewise, I felt better about going to Carlisle a goal down then I do about this game.
Doncaster played (and lost) at Wembley last year against Bristol Rovers in the JPT so read into that what you want...
I'm sure (hope) the 35 000 Leeds fans (led on by Jimmy, Darren and Paul? (are you going?)) will push the lads over the line. Besides, if you look at the REAL football table we beat them over the course of the season and we quite possibly played our best game of the season last week...
AHHHH!! COME ON LEEDS!! |

To loose your spot would be very hard on any of the lads who played in the match last Friday morning. Every player played his part and wore the shirt with pride.
Sheehan will be back but I'm hoping it will be to the subs bench.
This is Beckford's chance to shine. After all, he loves the big stage and the bright lights. Every game that was televised by Sky throughout the season, he performed very well. He's obviously still not 100% match fit after missing a few weeks but will be much better for the 90 minutes he played at Brunton Park. I'm expecting something special from him on Sunday.
Doncaster will be a tough opponent. They've had a terrific season and were obviously in the running for auto promotion right up until the last day.
We had a great result against them a few weeks back at Keepmoat but obviously lost to them at Elland Road earlier in the season. For memory this was during our tough patch towards the end of Wise's reign and we definitely didn't play to our potential.
The way we've been playing lately, with the football Garry Mac has been able to get this side to produce, surely puts us in a very good position to win this match and regain our place in The Championship.
I don't usually like being optimistic when it comes to Leeds (always ends in disappointment) but I cant shrug off this thought of, it's meant to be. It's like the script has been written for us. It's going to be a nervy Sunday night! |

Haha I entered, see what comes of it!
Re the side, personally I think Sheehan will come into the team. We saw what happened against Watford when he played players out of position in a big game, it hasn't worked in the past and I hope we do change it. Remember Sheehan has a thumping left foot and is very handy at set pieces (has also scored against Donny before!)
I think Johnno will still play, except he'll slot into left midfield where he has been all year. Drop Prutton to the bench - he can be a good impact player, solid tackler and hard worker.
Anyway, I'm very fucking nervous...but I'm with Dave, I'm optimistic! MOT |

Guys i cant help but be nervious, going to Carlisie when we was 1 down i was still so sure we would go through, this game i cant say that i have the some confedence ( maybe this just comes with being a leeds fans and the years of getting hopes up only to have them crushed) but i still belive we can and deserve to win. I dont think there will be any team chances for the fact we played so well on Friday Morning.
Lets just pray Sunday we play just as good and we walk away with smiles rather then tears like we did last time we meet up at charles dickins vs Watford |

i watched the donny game the next morning and they played some good football (ON THE GROUND) they are organised.. there one fault is that they can over play it at times and the counter attack is one major avenue to goal for Leeds, this could bring becks right into the game. That ex newcastle lad that hit the hatrick produced some premier league stuff.. from his season telly looked to be a one off as he had 3 goals prior to that game.. I think we will be to strong for them in the middle of the park and with close 40k leeds fans rocking the home of football, we should get a win. But this is Leeds United so who knows what to expect.. Garry Mac wont let is slip like Blackwell. 2-0 LEEDS!!!

Doncaster's passing game on the big (and very wide) Wenbley pitch is of concern. We were outplayed in both our Donny Games this season but this is different. 90 mins+ of football where winner takes all.
Quite simply it will come down to who handles the situation better on the day.
Leeds will have in excess of 46k there, due to numerous fans already assured of tickets in their end + corporates and Wembley Club. This may work against them, if it works in their favour it will be the first time this year.
For Doncaster it would be great and a return to the 2nd flight something they have done infrequently in their history, but for Leeds I beleive its life or a short term death. For this reason I hope we get through.
COME ON LEEDSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

James left on Thursday and has arrived in England. I spoke to him briefly tonight (he was in Swindon) and he pretty much landed knowing he didn't have the tickets he thought were coming his way (after a Ticket Office stuff up).
Thankfully, it seems a very nice individual has helped him out and he is now sorted for tickets. Haven't heard that from James but that's what I've read.
Also, just to push the media whore tag, ITV in Yorkshire want to do a story on him and Channel 7 might also be interested in picking it up!
Patty Drew left tonight after securing a ticket. Hope both you guys have an awesome time. I'm envious! |

Excellent stuff, his old man would be in the running for father of the year you'd think... the lad seems to have pulled up well after the flight as well, i'm usually fucked for three days after one of those. |
